Narcotics officers have arrested a 36-year-old man in Datuk Keramat and seized about RM1 million worth of heroin and shabu at his apartment in Pulau Tikus. The man was on his way to deliver some drugs at about 7pm last Friday.
Police found 1.26kg of shabu or methamphetamine crystals, 1.28kg of heroin, 2,219 amphetamine-type stimulant pills, 904gm of ketamine, RM23,000 worth of foreign currencies, a safe, a weighing scale and a sealing machine.
The man has been remanded by the authories for ten days, and the case has been classified as trafficking under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act which carries the death sentence if convicted.
Police believe this man is part of a drug syndicate and are trying to catch other members.
