The Customs Department seized a BMW M3 Coupe on 16 January 2007 which is believed to be smuggled from Kalimantan. It is valued at half a million ringgit but duties of RM318,068.36 have not been paid.
The department said that the car was not registered with the Road Transport Department and is looking for the car's owner. Information supporting the department's investigations can be paid up to 30 per cent of the value of the smuggled goods.
