Banting
40 Rela men were on operations on Friday in the area but did not inform the police. 10 of them were carrying out a raid on a plywood factory in Jenjarom at about 2:30am.
They were at the door of a cabin container where 10 Nepalese workers were sleeping. One worker claimed that he was beaten with a cane and needed three stitches on the head, while another was beaten on the hand. The workers also claimed that a television set and other electrical items in the cabin were destroyed by the men.
The Rela men then detained eight workers without valid travel documents and brought them to the Semenyih depot. The two injured workers, who received treatment at the Banting Hospital, lodge police reports with the help of their employer.
Police took statements from the 10 Rela men and detained 8 of them for further investigations.
