A 31-year-old factory operator has been arrested for the murder of his four-month-old son.
He was allegedly at his Taman Bukit Indah home reading the newspaper at 4am yesterday when his wife asked him to prepare milk for the baby boy. When he returned with the milk, the baby could not stop crying. He took the baby from his wife but allegedly dropped him on the floor.
The baby was rushed to Sultanah Aminah Hospital but died a few hours later from head injuries.
The man has been detained and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder after the 28-year-old mother lodged a police report at the Skudai station.
