3 March 2007
Petaling Jaya

A Bangladeshi woman, known as Anowara, aged 29, was found stabbed to death in a two-storey bungalow house under renovation in Taman Jaya yesterday.

Neighbours reported to the police when they heard some commotion at about 10am there. They found Anowara's 37-year-old husband stabbed in the chest and bleeding. He was sent to the intensive care unit of the University Malaya Medical Centre.

Police arrived at the scene later and found Anowara's body, with stab wounds on her chest and lower back, at the back of the house. Police are now looking for four Bangladeshi contract workers who were doing renovation work at the house. They have also found the workers' passports and the couple's marriage certificate.
