Officers from the Immigration Department raided a restaurant suspected of conducting vice activities for Indonesian illegal immigrants. 38 illegal immigrants and the Indonesian owner were arrested at the Restoran Waja and Pusat Snooker Waja in Taman Pandan, Johor Baru, between midnight and 3am.
Neighbours complained of the noise from the loud dangdut music being played between midnight and 6am daily. 24 of them were men while 14 were women. 10 of them had no travel documents with them and the rest had overstayed their social visit passes.
