Uncle Charged with Incest of 14-year-old

A 14-year-old girl's 21-year-old uncle, Muhamad Riduan Mat Isa, and her fiancee were charged yesterday separately in court with three counts each of raping her.

They were alleged to have raped the girl:

• in the kitchen at house C8-4, Rumah Panjang, Setapak Jaya, on 27 October 2006 at 3am
• in a room at Block A-6-6, PPR Salak Selatan, Jalan Salak Jaya, on 30 October 2006 at 2am
• in the kitchen of the same place on 3 November 2006 at 3am

Muhamad Riduan faces up to 30 years' jail and minimum of 10 strokes of the cane while 26-year-old Mohd Faizal Hassan Jamil faces up to 20 years' jail and whipping for the offences, if found guilty.

Both pleaded not guilty.

The judge set bail at RM10,000 with one surety each and set 3 March 2008 for mention of both cases.
