Police have arrested a 27-year-old Indonesian maid for sending false SMSes, or short messages, on missing 5-year-old Sharlinie Mohd Nashar's whereabouts to her family members. She is also being investigated for kidnapping.
The suspect, who had been working in Malaysia for a few years, was arrested yesterday in a house in Johor Baru.
The woman had been sending many messages to Sharlinie's parents, misleading the police with false leads.
