Mohd Firdaous Mohd Omar stood on the witness stand for the 8th day in the murder trial of Altantuya Shaariibuu. The 31-year-old Celcom Malaysia special project and investigation department executive was thoroughly questioned by counsel J. Kuldeep Kumar who was representing accused Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri.
Kuldeep asked him about an e-mail that was sent to Mohd Firdaous from the IT billing department and the Customer Care Management system. With the e-mail, Mohd Firdaous prepared the phone logs dated 30 December 2007 for the court.
On 3 January 2008, he had said he was not sure if he still had the e-mail. On Monday, he managed to present a printed copy of the e-mail but had forgotten about it on 3 January 2008.
Mohd Firdaous then said he had checked the cell identification of Azilah's mobile phone number and determined that the calls were made from "Puncak Alam Highway 4". He also added that there were differences in the e-mail from the IT billing department and the phone log.
The trial hearing continues today.
