Shah Alam
On the 75th day of the High Court trial of the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu, 27-year-old Syed Mustaqim Syed Yusoff from Celcom told the court that the data on the location of accused Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri on the night of the murder was accurate although the LAC data (mobile phone location) and Cell ID (transponder code) were incorrect in a document.
The cause of the incorrect data was caused by technical errors or defects in the computer programming that collects the data, Syed Mustaqim explained. This affected phone transactions that occurred between 17 and 19 October 2006. He admitted that the incorrect data was caused by him during programming and realized about it during the first data retrieval when requested by Mohd Firdaous Mohd Omar on 18 December 2007.
Mohd Firdaous is from Celcom's investigation and special projects department. He testified last week that, based on the phone logs retrieved via e-mail from two of his company's departments, they showed that Azilah was at Puncak Alam on 19 October 2006. Puncak Alam was the place where Altantuya was blown up with explosives.
Syed Mustaqim did managed to correct the data for phone transactions between 20 and 31 October 2006.
The trial will continue on Monday.
