An elderly couple and the woman's mother were gagged and tied at their hands and feet in their house by robbers. All three were in different rooms in the Jalan Rasah house. Although the 88-year-old mother survived, the 75-year-old man and 63-year-old woman were found murdered.
The mother has been admitted to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital for treatment. The post mortem is performed at the hospital and the possible cause of death was suffocation, police say.
Police believe that the robbers entered the house from the rear and had stolen some items on Tuesday morning. No money was apparently missing from the house. The children of the victims are aiding police to identify the robbers.
