Four policemen were in their car on the way home after duty when their car collided head-on with a robber's car along the New Pantai Expressway. All four sustained injuries and the suspect suffered injuries to his groin and is warded at UMMC.
The suspect's car was flagged down by a patrol car along Jalan Ara, Bangsar, at around 2:30am. Initially the car slowed down but suddenly sped off, so the police gave chase. The chase went through Bangsar, Kampung Kerinchi, and then the suspect went to the opposite lane along the Expressway. Five patrol cars were in the high-speed chase.
The suspect is wanted for a few robberies and break-ins in the Dang Wangi area. Police found an axe, a bottle of cough syrup and drug accessories used to smoke syabu.
