In a series of raids, police nabbed drug smugglers and car thieves earlier this week.
The state Narcotics department raided a house in Taman Sentosa on 20 August 2007 and arrested two men, both aged 23, on possession of 2,950 ecstasy pills worth RM120,000. Police believe the men were part of a drug smuggling syndicate.
The next day, police intercepted a parcel filled with 2.1kg of ganja or marijuana worth RM2,000, which was bound for Sarawak, Taman Perindustrian Tampoi Jaya.
On 22 August 2007, state CID police caught a gang of car thieves, including two men aged 31 and 33 years and a 26-year-old Indonesian woman, in a house in Taman Daya. Authorities seized stolen Mitsubishi Lancer and BMW vehicles, multiple MyKad identification cards, credit cards, Allen keys, machines to manufacture keys and several mobile phones.
