Subang Jaya
A 11-month-old baby boy died at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) after being admitted on Wednesday by his 36-year-old father. Post-mortem at the Serdang Hospital suggests that the victim, the youngest of three, had died from head injuries. A 32-year-old Indonesian maid has been arrested on suspicsion of abusing the victim.
On Wednesday, the maid who was looking after Mohd Naim Alma Zaadi had called his father, Alma Zaadi Annwar, saying that the child was crying uncontrollably. He returned home to pacify him, but was later called back by the maid again. The father then sent his son to SJMC where he fell into a coma.
The child's mother, 37-year-old Norashikin Mohd Ali, said she noticed some bruises on him but did not know how he got them. She said the maid had been working for them for three months and had not shown any psychiatric behaviour.
Police have reclassified the case as murder and the maid will be remanded until this Wednesday.
