Five armed burglars entered a house in Kampung Tenggoh, Temerloh, at between 2am and 2:30am on Sunday and tied up a couple and their 15-year-old son. The burglars had knives and parangs, while three wore masks.
The burglars ransacked the house and fled in the 47-year-old rubber trader's 4WD vehicle. They took about RM5,000 worth of cash, jewellery and a mobile phone.
Police have recovered the vehicle at noon yesterday, some seven kilometres from the house.
The family's 5-year-old son was sleeping throughout the ordeal and none of them were hurt.
