Kluang
Several raids by the Domestic Trade and Consumers Affairs (DTCA) department this week resulted in more than RM20 million worth of illegal disc manufacturing machines and DVDs seized. Four men aged between 25 and 65 years were arrested under Section 4 of the Optical Disc Act 2000.
On Tuesday, DTCA officers and 15 policemen raided a factory along Jalan Paloh and seized 14 machines and 3,000 discs worth RM14 million. Another factory in the same area was raided on Friday where five more machines were seized.
Authorities also found a truck full of machines in a secluded area in Paloh. They believe that they have smashed a piracy syndicate in the area with these raids.
