The 36-year-old woman and her 3-year-old daughter who were found in a burnt car in Kluang on Friday are believed to be Komala Devi and S. Kithinsha respectively. The mother of two children left her shoplot house in Taman Puteri in Kulai to deliver some goods to Taman Saga, Kulai.
Komala did not return to her parents' home in Taman Manis where her 8-year-old son lived.
Komala's brother, Ashok Kumar, was contacted on Saturday to identify the two bodies. As he was not able to make a positive identification, police had to obtain DNA samples from Komala's parents.
