Sharlinie Missing: Reward Money Offer Ends 29 Feb

11 February 2008
Petaling Jaya

More than a month since 5-year-old Sharlinie Mohd Nashar went missing from a playground in Taman Medan on 9 January 2008, police have covered over 26,000 houses, hoping to find her.

Billboards with Sharlinie's picture have been displayed in Petaling Jaya, Seri Kembangan and Malacca.

Meanwhile, Datuk Michael Chong, head of the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department yesterday showed stacks of cash at the MCA headquarters to show that the reward money of RM100,000 offered for information leading to the arrest of the kidnapper was real.

The department has decided to give RM50,000 initially to anyone who assists in getting the kidnapper charged in court and the rest of the offer money to be given upon conviction of the kidnapper. However, the reward money will be returned to its respective donors after the 29 February 2008 deadline has passed.
