Mother, Daughter and Son Arrested for Drug Trafficking

24 December 2007
Kuala Lumpur

Police raided a flat along Jalan San Peng on Tuesday at 1am and arrested a 43-year-old woman, her 24-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son, all three suspected to be drug traffickers. They also found 36 packets of heroin weighing 71.3g and worth RM3,600.

The son had even attempted to throw some of the drug out of a window. It is learnt that since the age of 12, the son had been involved in drug business by acting as a lookout for police while suppliers were trafficking drugs.

Police believed that the mother and daughter were accomplices to the teenage boy as they have known about his involvement and drugs were found in the flat unit. The three have been tested negative for drugs and are being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act.
