Putrajaya
A 29-year-old Immigration officer was arrested at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal yesterday by Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) officers for allegedly accepting a RM2,500 bribe to let go of two female Chinese nationals.
The women were to be deported and had offered the money to the officer for not blacklisting them as they were charged for vice offences. ACA officers remanded the officer at 5pm after the women departed to China.
Another 28-year-old Immigration officer was also arrested in Putrajaya at 11:15pm for the same case.
