A couple who were married for three months were at a budget hotel when the 41-year-old husband stabbed his 46-year-old wife to death for allegedly using black magic on him.
On Thursday at 3:30pm, the furniture shop worker had went to the hotel along Jalan Datuk Keramat to confront his wife, Wong Nyik Yon, accusing her of making him unable to forget her by using black magic. Wong had been working in the hotel for two years.
After the husband had used a knife to stab her, he did not resist when hotel staff apprehended him.
Wong died from multiple stab wounds on her chest and waist. A post mortem will be conducted at the Penang Hospital on Friday while the husband has been placed in police custody.
