68-year-old Song Peng @ Ho Song Ping was charged in court on Thursday for four counts of raping an underaged neighbour. The garbage collector pleaded guilty to raping an 11-year-old student in a room at his Sentul house between 27 and 31 July 2007.
Song faces a maximum of 20 years' jail for each charge under Section 376 of the Penal Code if convicted successfully. He will not be caned as he is more than 50 years old.
The judge denied Song bail and set Friday for hearing.
