Penang
Forensics who found the three bones at the Chinese Cemetery in Paya Terubong have been confirmed to belong to a child's. Forensic pathologist Datuk Dr Bhupinder Singh said they belong to the neck and arm. The bones, four bone fragments, and burnt pyjamas will be sent to the Chemistry Department for DNA matching to determine if these items belonged to missing three-year-old Shearwey Ooi Ying Ying.
Shearwey's father, Ooi Eng Chew, aged 29, flew back to Penang on Monday from China and has had his statement taken by the police. Blood samples have been taken from him and his wife, Jess Teh, who made the initial police report. Police however found discrepancies in the report.
