A 39-year-old secondary school physical education teacher was caught by several villagers in Tangkak for committing khalwat, or close proximity, with a Form Five student on Monday. The 17-year-old female student was with him at the teacher's house at 9:30am in bed.
The teacher's housemate saw a pair of women's shoes when he had returned home. He then found the two of them sleeping in the teacher's bed. When he told the girl to leave, she refused and continued to sleep.
The teacher had divorced his first wife and has a second wife in Masai.
The Johor Islamic Affairs Department has released the student on a RM2,500 bail and detained the teacher.
